Lumen Gentium (Reflection)

Lumen Gentium is the common name for the document on the church produced by Vatican II.  The full title in English is Dogmatic Constitution on the Church Solemnly Propulgated by His Holiness Pope Paul VI.  So you can see why most people call it Lumen Gentium.  (Incidentally, what does it say when the more convenient title for a document is in Latin?)  I very nearly titled this blog Dogmatic Constitution on the Church Solemnly Promulgated by His Holiness Tim . . . but I resisted the temptation.

This document is readily available online.
